Presbyterian Cross

Interfaith Worship Service
September 21, 2014

Friends from the interfaith community joined together at Littlefield to pray for a more just and peaceful world on International Day of Peace. The participants included: Rev. Bill Gepford; Imam Elahi from Islamic House of Wisdom; Cantor Roger Skully from Downtown Synagogue in Detroit, Pastor Fran.

This is part of what Islamic House of Wisdom posted with their photos: “September 21, 2014: Beautiful day of interfaith in Dearborn, Michigan. Rev. Fran of Littlefield Presbyterian Church hosted and led the prayers in a service on the International Day of Peace. Rev. Gepford lit the interfaith candle, Rabbi Skully sang a song from Scripture, Brother Younes Makki recited the Adan and verses from the Holy Quran with his wonderful voice. I mam Elahi called both Sheikh Hassan Habhab and Sheikh Mahmoud (representing, the IIK) to the podium and made his remarks followed with an Islamic meditation.”

Worship in the Park

On August 10, the Littlefield congregation met at Hemlock Park for worship and a picnic. Look below for a picture of everyone at the playground.
