Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is a national organization of women in the Presbyterian Church (USA). We are dedicated to mission, study, service, justice, building community, and witnessing to the presence of Christ in our world and in our lives.

The Mary Circle meets each month, September through June, at one another’s homes on the first Monday night of the month and studies the Presbyterian Women's Horizon Bible Study. All women are welcome to attend.

We also participate in the monthly Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Detroit (PWPD) Gatherings at various churches throughout the Detroit Presbytery. For more information on PWPD events go here.

The Presbyterian Women organize many mission projects during the year at Littlefield. Our mission pledge of $1000 made by the Littlefield PW to the PWPD was met. In addition, our PW collected a Birthday Offering of $313 and a Thank Offering of $672. We were able to give monetary gifts totaling $1000 to the Second Mile Center, Fort Street Open Door, Detroit Presbytery Hunger Program, the Salvation Army, Covenant House, Alternative for Girls, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and the Red Cross. In May, we contributed $340 to the Healthy Women Healthy Families Mother’s Day Project, as well as collecting stuffed animals and toddler clothing (totaling $551) which were donated to Orchard Children’s Services in Southfield. The Spring Tea and Silent Auction which we held in May brought in $839. We collected food for the Detroit Presbytery Hunger Program ($435), and we packed Church World Service kits worth $795. In October, items for the PWPD Ingathering donated by the Littlefield PW totaled $3,145. “Warm Fuzzies” (winter hats and gloves) worth $557 were also collected and delivered to Vista Maria and Fort Street Open Door program. Our cookie sale and treasure sale in December brought in $490. We also donated Health kits, school supplies and backpacks worth $796 to the Second Mile Center, a PWPD mission center on the east side of Detroit.
